Pope can't escape anti-Semitism charges
The conservative daily Magyar Nemzet writes in its weekend edition about the visit of the Pope to Israel: "Pope Benedict XVI is a thorn in the side of the liberal press. Ever since his election as head of the Roman Catholic Church he has been under attack. … This is because the Catholic Church claims to be in possession of the absolute truth. … In the run-up to his visit to the Holy Land the attacks are likely to come from two directions: on the one hand there's the ballast of his Africa visit, namely his rejection of the use of condoms - despite Aids. And then the liberal press won't forgive Pope Benedict XVI for having revoked the excommunication of bishop Richard Williamson, who belongs to the Society of St. Pius X founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and who has questioned the existence of gas chambers at Auschwitz. Therefore in Israel the Pope won't be able to escape the charges of anti-Semitism."
