Trouw
Trouw was established as a resistance newspaper against the German occupying forces and was first called Oranje-Bode. It was the organ of the Orthodox Reformed movement. In the 1960s the newspaper gave up its denominational affiliations and is now considered a progressive Protestant newspaper. Until 2009 it was part of the publishing group PCM, which was then taken over by the Belgian newspaper group De Persgroep. Trouw discusses topics from philosophy and the Church. A tabloid, its circulation has been unstable of late as a result of the crisis.
