Hospodářské noviny

Hospodářské noviny (Business Paper) was launched in 1995 as a weekly but has been published daily since 1999. It can be described as the most serious Czech paper. It focuses on economic coverage but also reports on politics, culture and sports. A trademark of the paper is its frequent guest commentaries by high-ranking international politicians and economic experts. The paper was published by the German Handelsblatt publishing house until 2008 and was then sold to the Czech publishing group Economia, which belongs to the entrepreneur Zdeněk Bakala.
