Cicero

Political magazine that is one of the few newcomers to have managed to maintain a leading position on the German market. It became well-known after the so-called Cicero affair, in which the public prosecutors of Potsdam had the editing department of the magazine searched after it published a portrait of the Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab az-Zarqawi citing confidential files of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The search was declared an encroachment on press freedom by Germany's Constitutional Court.
