Aamulehti

Finland's second-largest daily was for a long time the organ of the conservative National Coalition Party. It declared itself independent in 1992, but still leans to the right. In 1998, its publisher merged with the commercial television station MTV to become the Alma Media group, Finland's second largest media company after the Sanomat group. Aamulehti shares a politics editing department in Helsinki with the other papers owned by the group.
