The director Picha overturns the myth of Snow White
The animation film-maker from Belgium, Picha, is interviewed by Daniel Couvreur as his latest work, 'Snow White continued', a satirical and lewd comedy that is considerably different from the classic fairy tale, is about to be released on French screens. "[The film] is situated in the historical universe of Disney, but its spirit however differs from the puritanism of Disney Studios, where the goodies are good-looking, the baddies are ugly and where pretending to kiss is enough to be happy. ... This film is like a bite from the crates of cartoon creatures that are saturating screens nowadays. It bypasses conformity. It shows that we are allowed to be as crazy in cartoons as in song, painting, literature or film."
