José Manuel Barroso on Europe's Crisis

In an interview led by Otmar Lahodynsky, the president of the European Comission, José Manuel Barroso, talks about the crisis in Europe and reviving the constitution. "The main thing is to clarify the positions of France and the Netherlands, because many countries can't see how the EU constitution can be ratified before the situation in those countries has been sorted out. We must give them more time, but I'd like to add that the EU constitution should under no circumstances be buried. I'm not sure that the proposals to alter the EU constitution are the right approach. The fact remains that the majority of EU states have ratified the EU constitution. We now need time to review the Constitution's advantages."
