Vladimir Putin and the energy weapon
"Gazprom President Alexeï Miller, who does not have a red button [for an atomic bomb] on his desk any more than the vice-president, Alexander Medvedev, are men imposed directly by the Kremlin," Maurizio Ricci points out. He fears the consequences of the show of force being made by the Russian president. "If the arm-wrestling match with Ukraine were to endure and Gazprom's relationship with its European clients turn sour, the stakes would become much more serious and the conflict could get out of hand."
