Fair elections in Georgia ?
Jerzy Haszczynski criticizes Russia's behaviour following the elections in Georgia. "Once again, Russia tries to play its little game of questioning the assessment of international election observers. ... To Russia, Georgia is a painful example of success. Above all in the economic realm. The land has enjoyed major economic growth, despite the obstacles thrown in its way, despite the Russian embargo on wine and the interruptions of Russian gas supplies. ... Saakashvili's first administration was a political success in many ways. This was also recognized in the west; even NATO membership no longer seems out of the question."
