Where can the Guantánamo prisoners go?

"Would you like it if some of the Guantánamo prisoners suspected of terrorism ended up in the Czech Republic?" the liberal daily Mladá fronta Dnes asks its readers, answering: "Probably not. But that's the problem. It would be easy to close down Guantánamo - if it wasn't for the prisoners. For instance there are 17 Chinese Muslims. Where can they go? In China they would be put straight back into prison. And the same goes for the prisoners from Arab states. ... This is why the British, Germans and other Europeans are considering taking in prisoners to help out [US President Barack] Obama. All wishful thinking. ... Perhaps now it's become clear what a difficult task Obama faces. And that's just trying to solve the problem of a secluded jail somewhere in the Caribbean."
