Too few skilled workers on the Romanian job market
According to a study by the global firm Manpower International, Romania has an acute shortage of qualified workers. The daily Evenimentul Zilei writes: "Romania is striving to offer its citizens a higher standard of living. That means the economy must be developed in sectors that produce premium products: services, technologies, an industry with high quality work and large profits. That presupposes a more ample and better qualified 'stock' of human capital. ... But Romania has only a limited, unqualified stock of human capital."
