Unacceptable expulsion of two British diplomats from Iran
Sweden's Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, who from next week on will guide the work of the EU Council of Ministers under Sweden's EU presidency, condemns the expulsion of two British diplomats from Iran: "Iran's expulsion of two British diplomats was unjustified and unacceptable, but it is also an expression of how they are now trying to make a bogeyman out of the outside world and claim that the internal opposition is the result of external conspiracies. All this is absolutely groundless on all counts and almost everyone can see this. But in view of the desperate situation the regime is in one naturally can't rule out that it will try to intensify this unacceptable behaviour. This won't be tolerated and will clash with European solidarity."
