The need to reform EADS

Columnist Gilles Senges believes that the nomination of Louis Gallois to the co-Presidency of EADS is but a "transitory solution” that changes nothing in terms of the organisation of the company. "Such a large scale company working the strategic defence and aeronautical industries cannot be indefinitely run by a Franco-Germanic co-management... which leaves the door open to all bureaucracies. Here we have a company, perhaps the most emblematic of a 'winning Europe', where on both sides of the Rhine those in charge are tearing each other apart in pursuit of power! … We will have to reform the organisation, especially as Lagadere and DaimlerChryler, the two private companies implicated, have started to reign in their own investment"
