ElBaradei proved right
Movement has come into the nuclear dispute with Iran. On October 25 inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) are to be allowed to inspect the new uranium enrichment plant. The conservative daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung comments: "From Moscow in particular more critical voices against Iran have been heard in recent times. [IAEA boss Mohamed] ElBaradei heard with satisfaction that Iran plans to have the nuclear material from the Natan reactor processed in France and Russia. This was the UN Security Council's compromise proposal, the implementation of which will soon be discussed in Vienna. If things continue to move in this direction ElBaradei will be proved right in his conviction that a diplomatic solution to the problem is possible. This is based on the hope that there are pragmatists as well as dogmatists in the Iranian leadership."
