Heed the words of Ahmadinejad
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - whose nuclear programme is the subject of controversy - is the sole head of state attending the UN Review Conference on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in New York. The daily Delo is unhappy with the media's portrayal of him as a clown: "Anyone who lends him an ear will see that his words should be taken at least as seriously as US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's warnings of the dangers of the proliferation of nuclear weapons. If they care to listen, those present at the conference may well find more reasons for this worrying state of affairs in the speech of this 'court jester', as well as a solution. But as the opinion prevalent among the world's ruling countries is that Iran - which has signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty - is the worst rogue state, ... no one takes Ahmadinejad's warning seriously that the biggest danger to the world emanates from the countries that possess nuclear stockpiles."
