Erdoğan seeks friends in Athens

The Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Athens for the second time within five months on Thursday. Despite his efforts to improve relations between the two countries the conservative daily Kathimerini says that on many points positive action must follow the positive signals: "The disappearance of the casus belli and the end of military flights over the Greek islands wouldn't solve the problems but would help to improve the atmosphere and make constructive discussion about the disagreements possible. Particularly now, at a time when the exploratory talks about the Ägäis between the two countries have progressed and are likely to produce results very soon. Erdoğan's positive statements are welcome but they will only have an effect if they are accompanied by action."
