Results of report catastrophic
Prime Minister Donald Tusk is partially responsible for the catastrophic results of the report because he left the investigations entirely to the Russians, writes Paweł Lisicki of the conservative daily Rzeczpospolita: "The way in which the report is presented and the way the Poles' remarks are dealt with are proof that Donald Tusk's strategy has failed, I fear. Right from the start the Prime Minister insisted that it would be better to stick to the provisions of the Chicago Convention on air traffic. Tusk decided to take this gamble because he hoped it would improve relations with Moscow. He publicly defended the decision to put the Russians in charge of the investigations. He claimed that attempts to exert pressure on the Russians to jointly investigate the incident and appeal for an international assessment would only be an expression of lacking trust in the country's new friends."
