Egyptians shed their fear
The regime in Egypt is encountering difficulties because the citizens refuse to be intimidated any longer, writes the liberal conservative daily Die Presse: "The regime in Egypt hasn't yet given up hope. It still comforts itself with the idea that the circumstances that led to the revolution in Tunisia on January 14 were very different. ... But there are also parallels, and these must be causing Egypt's long-time ruler Hosni Mubarak to shudder in his boots: high youth unemployment, corruption, growing social gaps and a lack of perspectives. Even more dangerous for Mubarak is the mass psychological phenomenon which became clearly visible for the first time yesterday, when at least 15,000 people marched through the streets of Cairo: The people are starting to lose their fear."
