Kaczyński unintentionally supports Lukashenko
Belarus has accused Germany and Poland of having jointly planned the downfall of President Alexander Lukashenko. Belarusian television bases this claim on an article by Polish opposition leader Jarosław Kaczyński for the daily Rzeczpospolita in which he criticises the joint initiative of the German and Polish governments against Lukashenko. Kaczyński's argumentation is counterproductive, writes Marcin Wojciechowski in the liberal daily Gazeta Wyborcza: "The article was so accurate that it even caught the attention of the commentator of the programme 'At the Centre of Attention', which summarises the events of the week on Belarusian state television. ... 'Kaczyński has admitted that Warsaw and Berlin have interfered in the internal affairs of the Republic of Belarus'. ... I'm waiting for Kaczyński's next work on Belarus. Not in the Rzeczpospolita but in Sowjetskaja Belorussija - President Lukashenko's official government mouthpiece."
