Germany once more for Europe
The decision handed down by the German Constitutional Court brings Europe further down the path to integration, the conservative daily Le Figaro writes: "The debate in Germany is changing in nature. Whereas in the past few months we've heard nothing but financial arguments calling for the greatest rigour on the part of the over-indebted countries, a growing number of voices calling for greater European integration - the only viable solution to the debt crisis - are making themselves heard. The Germans seem to be realising that they cannot get by without the euro. ... Liberated from the danger of a judicial rejection of the Greek bailout, European integration may well pick up speed."
