The unknown photographer

Warsaw Pact soldiers surrounded by citizens of Prague. Koudelka does not just observe but also participates in the events. Following the uprising he fled the country and started working under the abbreviation PP (for Prague Photographer) for the renowned Magnum Photos agency. It was only after his father died that people learned who had taken the photos, which today are regarded as classic examples of the photojournalism of the post-war period.
