Blogger, a job with a future
It is estimated that in the US almost half a million people earn their living by blogging. That means there are more people in the US earning a living from blogging than as programmers or fire fighters, the daily Apogevmatini notes: "Thousands of additional bloggers earn their money with other jobs. Less than two percent of the estimated 20 million active bloggers [in the US] are paid for their services. But this is just the beginning. As all the studies show, that numbers will grow. And while blogs have come to be known as the fifth power in the US as a result of their strong influence, the number of those employed by the fourth power is gradually dwindling. Within five years the number of people employed by Washington's mass media sunk by 79 percent. … This trend will also reach Greece, albeit with a delay."
