The US dominates Nato
Nato foreign ministers gathered yesterday, Thursday, for two days of talks in the Estonian capital Tallinn. The news portal Delfi is already positive about the outcome: "This meeting is a terrific occasion to show Russia (above all) who our friends and allies are. Of course the country-to-country rotation system means a financial burden for us, but the emotional benefit can't be weighed up in money terms. Certainly, many people react to the meeting by saying Nato is exceedingly dominated by the US. That's not an accusation, not at all - but it clearly shows who the organisation depends on and why Russia treats it with such contempt. ... On the other hand it's a good thing the US has so much pull in Nato, because otherwise in case of doubt no one could take responsibility and react."
