Obama disappoints US citizens

The midterm elections take place in the US on Tuesday. US President Barack Obama will lose them, the liberal-conservative daily Berlingske Tidende believes, because he has disappointed his voters: "Unless there's a miracle the Democrats will suffer massive losses in the in midterm elections. ... The reason being that President Barack Obama hasn't managed to present himself as a credible president. He is associated with numerous failures. He has been unable to keep almost all his election pledges of two years ago. His health reform is turning into a watered-down compromise, unemployment has risen sharply and the economy is doing worse than ever. ... In almost all areas voters are turning their backs on the Democrats, and although Obama himself is not up for election a defeat on Tuesday will make things difficult for him. ... But the worst thing about it all is that the Republicans have nothing better to offer when it comes to finding a way out of the crisis."
