Greece's name dispute with Macedonia silly

In the name dispute between Greece and its neighbour Macedonia the International Court of Justice in The Hague accused the Greeks of breaching an agreement on Monday. According to the court the veto imposed by the government in Athens in 2008 against Macedonia's Nato accession violates an interim agreement between the two countries. Greece deserved this drubbing, the news portal Protagon comments: "It's not the first time that Greece has made a fool of itself over the issue of its neighbours' name. Trapped in a policy that serves the opportunism of its creators rather than national interests Greece has become isolated from the international community. And now it is practically impossible for it to free itself without further humiliation. The worst thing about it isn't that the international community hasn't managed to comprehend our conflicting positions on the problem. The worst is that our problem is indeed incomprehensible."
