Following the road to European identity will further guarantee French identity. And there is a dialogue facing the power of Chinese and American forceful empires The nation remains, as most Europeans wish, the main framework for democratic expression and for the modelling of the national 'model'. But the Union is already the only framework that allows these nations any hope of handling the major questions before us."
