Belarus's only large-scale exports to the West consist of Russian oil and gas - purchased at a quarter of the international price - which Belarus refines and resells at market rates. Russia is also the only serious buyer for Belarussian products. Moscow's generosity is certainly not dictated by love, but by a need to keep this rare European ally.
