Bulgaria's government just embarrassing

Bulgaria's cultural minister Vezhdi Rashidov announced in a televised interview on Monday that the famous Bulgarian opera singer Gena Dimitrowa, who died in 2005, would be appearing in Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre. Bulgaria's government is committing one gaffe after another, writes the socialist daily Duma: "The faux pas in Qatar was meant to be hushed up with the resignation of two ministers, but the media got wind of it nonetheless. ... In an attempt to pour oil on troubled waters Rashidov was sent to the state television to talk about Bulgaria's cultural successes. Then in a moment of inspiration he shot himself in the foot with the announcement of Gena Dimitrova's appearance in Moscow. This government lives in a world of its own, with no end of embarrassing moments. Every time you think they've come to an end someone from [the ruling party] Gerb comes along to convince us of the contrary."
