Power struggle between Tusk and the Kaczynskis

Poland's future Prime Minister Donald Tusk plans to appoint former Defence Minister and PiS politician Radosław Sikorski as Foreign Minister. The Polish President Lech Kaczynski and outgoing Prime Minster Jarosław Kaczyński are seeking to prevent this and cite state secrets as a hindrance to Sikorski's appointment. Rafał A. Ziemkiewicz criticises the Kaczynskis' blockade tactics and secretiveness. "They're using the 'I know something you don't know but I'm not telling' strategy. ... This is a reckless declaration of war against the not yet established PO government. Following such an attack (quite apart from the damage it does to Poland's image abroad), Donald Tusk has no choice but to appoint Sikorski as a member of his government and the president has no choice but to try and prevent this at all cost. Both risk a serious loss of face."
