Same-sex marriage makes society happier
On its official homepage, the Estonian Ministry of Justice calls on non-governmental organisations to promote heterosexual marriages. The news portal Delfi sees this as discrimination and calls for everyone to have the right to get married: "Our state should treat all its inhabitants equally. If there is discrimination, those who are directly affected should be listened to first. Because traditionally privileged individuals (male, middle-aged, heterosexual, etc.) are for the most part incapable of understanding the problems of social groups that have long since been at a disadvantage. Clinging to traditional marriage and the privileges of certain groups would also be paradoxical in that it blocks the way for everyone in society to fight for their own happiness. After all, everyone wins when we are surrounded by people who are content."
