Davidson describes that "philosophy, as a spiritual exercise, is practiced on oneself, a changing action I perform on myself. ... This implies a transformation, an attempt to link personal ethics and practices. It's an aesthetic of existence, in order to live a new and beautiful life. ... Philosophy must enter into daily life to transform all its aspects. ... Writers have understood this better than philosophers. ...
