Daily newspaper

BT, formerly B.T, is a tabloid-format tabloid which since its establishment in 1916 has always been very successful with its easy-to-read coverage of entertainment and sports. It is part of the Berlingske Media group. It is owned by the Belgian company De Persgroep. Its originally conservative orientation is barely noticeable nowadays. The paper's website claims to be Denmark's largest news site. Since February 2018, Berlingske has shifted its focus to digital, with even more audio and video content, many of which are free. There are subscriptions to the e-newspaper. The print version has been available free of charge on weekdays since January 2020. It is distributed at hubs as well as in buses and trains. The weekend edition continues to be a pay to read paper. In 2018 it was stated that every third print reader had been lost. In the first quarter of 2019, 76,000 people read B.T.
