The unknown photographer

At the offices of Czechoslovak Radio in the Vinohradská třída. The broadcaster had been reporting since the early morning hours on casualties and shooting when at 6.45 am it announced that tanks were rolling over people who got in their way. Koudelka's images are a typology of the street fighting: barricades, choruses of protest, sit-ins, graffiti and individual acts of protest.
