Britain's third largest daily is a faithful Labour Party supporter although in 2002 it came out in criticism of Blair's support of the war in Iraq. The tabloid regularly makes a noise with its anti-German headlines, particularly during football championships. In 2014 the Mirror leadership admitted that several of its journalists had been involved in a phone tapping scandal.
