24 Sata was launched in 2005 as the first tabloid on Croatia's newspaper market. Its publisher is the Austrian Styria Media Group. With its consistent sensationalism and conservativism the paper was ensconced as market leader within a year of its launch, and is still Croatia's most widely read and highest-circulation newspaper. Its website is also the market leader in its segment, while its TV channel stopped broadcasting in 2014 - five years after its launch.
