Beobachter

Der Beobachter is published once a fortnight on Wednesdays and bills itself as a consumer and advice magazine. In addition to the magazine there is a Beobachter series on Swiss television. Founded in 1927, the magazine also addressed political problems right from the outset. In 1928 it criticised the death penalty in Switzerland and in 1939 it condemned the deportation of refugees who had entered the country illegally. Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz AG has been publishing Der Beobachter since 2007.
