The Daily Record is Scotland's second largest daily. It has close ties to the Scottish Labour Party and even made a 10,000 GBP donation in 2007. It is an outspoken advocate for Scotland remaining in Britain. In the 1980s the centre-left paper had the largest circulation in Scotland. It has since lost more than four-fifths of its readers.
