Daily newspaper

Ethnos was founded in 1981, the first Greek newspaper to be printed in tabloid format. It is closely aligned with the socialist Pasok party which came to power in the same year. With its modern layout it soon supplanted Ta Nea as the country's most widely read newspaper. It is owned by the Pegasus publishing group, which in turn belongs to Greek business magnate George Bobolas.
