Hufvudstadsbladet, Finland's oldest and largest Swedish-language daily, is an indispensable mouthpiece for the country's Swedish-speaking minority, but also attracts international attention as a leader of public opinion. It frequently publishes exclusive reports that are taken up by Finnish-language media. Hufvudstadsbladet switched to tabloid format in 2004.
