Le Courrier is a Geneva-based daily that was founded in 1868 as a Catholic newspaper. Since its final break with the Church in 1996, Le Courrier has been considered left-wing. A non-profit organisation publishes the newspaper and regular fundraising campaigns contribute to its financing. A digitisation project makes historical editions which are available on the Swiss National Library's website.
