Daily newspaper

Právo (Right) is the successor to the central organ of communist Czechoslovakia, Rudé právo (Red Right). This serious newspaper, the country's second largest in terms of circulation, is decidedly left-wing and closely aligned with the social democrats. For a long time it was the only paper in the hands of Czech publishers. Its main shareholder is its editor-in-chief Zdeněk Porybný. The paper's website has surprisingly high visitor figures.
