Vasárnapi Hírek

Vasárnapi Hírek was a centre-left Sunday newspaper that was critical of the government and was discontinued in 2019. It covered domestic and international current affairs, as well as cultural and sports news from Saturdays. It also published analyses and commentaries on the key news and events of the week. The editor-in-chief was the former MP of the opposition Socialists (MSZP), Zoltán Gál J. The newspaper was published by the publishing house of the left-wing daily Népszava. In 2019, the owner announced that he would discontinue the weekly newspaper and integrate the content into the daily newspaper. The employees of the weekly newspaper continued to work at Népszava.
