Magyar Idők

Daily newspaper

The right-wing conservative daily Magyar Idők was founded in 2015 after Prime Minister Viktor Orbán fell out with his political ally of many years, media mogul Lajos Simicska. As a result many journalists left Simicska's three media organs, the daily paper Magyar Nemzet, the news channel HírTv and radio broadcaster Lánchídrádió and founded Magyar Idők. The paper is generally regarded as pro-government in stance.
