Zoom was a centre-left, modern website co-founded by the last editor-in-chief of the centre-left daily Népszabadság, András Murányi, and Péter Tarjányi, a security policy expert. Murányi is now chief news editor of Zoom. The site describes itself as independent, freedom-loving and pro-European. However, in the past Péter Tarjányi also worked as a security consultant for the Socialist Party. In December 2018, the owner closed the website and explained that the company was withdrawing from the media market.
