The "Daily Magazine" emerged from the Internet presence of "Eshenedelnyj shurnal" ("Weekly magazine"), which was published from 2001 to 2004. Despite several bans by the Russian media regulator, the editors-in-chief Alexander Ryklin and Alexander Golz continue the magazine, but have had to change its Internet address several times. It offers analyses and commentaries, mostly by oppositional authors.
