Sergei Medvedev is a Russian historian, political scientist and journalist. After a long academic career in Western Europe, he returned to Moscow in 2004, where he was a professor at the renowned Higher School of Economics until 2020. In 2022 he was declared a "foreign agent", but by then Medvedev, who has 48,000 followers on Facebook (December 2022), had already left Russia again to live in the EU.
