Expressen tabloid belongs to the Swedish media group Bonnier. It focuses on scandals and sensational reporting. It was founded in 1944 as a liberal voice by publisher Albert Bonnier, among others. Crime author Liza Marklund used to work as a journalist for Expressen. It is Aftonbladet's main competitor and is slowly catching up with it in terms of readers. Its editing offices are in the same building as Dagens Nyheter's.
