Figyelő is a weekly pro-government magazine owned by the media foundation Közép-Európai Sajtó-és Média Alapítvány (KESMA). In the past, Figyelö was viewed in Hungary as an economically liberal, independent print format that kept moderate left and right-wing people of the upper middle and upper classes up to date. The director of the Museum "House of Terror" Mária Schmidt bought the magazine in December 2016, and since then the weekly newspaper has only been distributing content that corresponds to government narratives. In 2019, the owner handed over the weekly newspaper to the KESMA media foundation.
