Rzeczpospolita is a conservative daily newspaper but it has clearly distanced itself from the national-conservative governing party PiS since the latter took office at the end of 2015. The paper is primarily critical of the government's foreign policy and the party's appropriation of democratic institutions. The pro-European Rzeczpospolita is the only conservative media outlet in Poland to advocate the country's conversion to the euro.
