The Tages-Anzeiger is Switzerland's most subscribed daily. It was founded in 1893 and is now the leading paper in the Zurich region, with a strong nationwide presence. It is published by Tamedia, one of Switzerland's largest media groups. Commentaries and reports are shared with all the other Tamedia newspapers. The Tages-Anzeiger and the Süddeutsche Zeitung share the same foreign correspondent network, also for commentary pieces.
